Located east of Puerto La Cruz, the International Port of Guanta is a naturally sheltered deep-water terminal with depths ranging from 10 to 28 meters. Its coastal configuration ensures calm waters with negligible currents and a minimal tidal range (0.51 m), providing stable operating conditions.

Arrival and Control: Vessels must first enter Pozuelos Bay, which serves as a reliable anchorage area. Pilotage is mandatory for all docking and undocking maneuvers at Guanta and nearby oil terminals. Additionally, the use of tugboats (both private and state-owned) is required and must be requested in advance to ensure safe vessel movement.
